Where will you be along the route watching the fun?
Fleet and Crookham AC is again organising the series of regular training runs during the nine weeks leading up to the race.
Starting from the Peter Driver Sport Field in Bourley Road, Church Crookham, at 8.30am, the runs are on a mixture of surfaces including road, paths and trails – but avoiding heavy traffic.
They are being hosted by club members and cater for all abilities from the novice, first-time half marathon runner to the veteran.
Sadly all places on the prestigious local marathon – which is now in its 31st year – have already been taken and entries have now closed.
But race organisers have sent Fleet People a copy of the race route to publicise.
They say the event's past success is due in part to the tremendous support from local residents who line the streets to cheer on the runners along the 13.1-mile route – and they hope this year will be no different.
One group of runners to look out for is the TV Times Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Fund which consists of television and film celebrities.
The team is affectionately known as the Banana Army thanks to their distinctive yellow T-shirts.
Since the race started more than three decades ago, it has helped raise more than £120,000 for the charity.
The marathon also supports the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, following the death of the race's founder Colin Gostelow from a brain tumour in 2009.
