Free town centre parking for Fleet Carnival

You can park for free in town centre carparks this weekend, during Fleet Carnival.

Parking will be free from noon on Saturday June 2 until midnight Monday June 4, after Hart District Council waived charges.

The council's portfolio holder for the environment, Cllr Jonathan Glen, said: "The annual Fleet Carnival is a significant event for local residents and helps raise money for local charities.

"I do hope that this will help attract more visitors to Fleet, and I recommend that we all take advantage of the services offered by our local shops."
