Snow in Fleet…probably…

There's a strong chance it will snow in Fleet during the coming week, although forecasts are differing and changing hourly.

Getting ready for snow in Fleet
While some parts of the UK were blighted today with the big freeze, Fleet has so far escaped.
One ten-day forecast was predicting light snow in Fleet on next Monday February 6.
This however has now changed to this Saturday the 4th and the following Wednesday the 8th.
Another says there's a 40 per cent chance of light snow on Friday night, plus 50 per cent chance of heavy snowfall on Sunday.
So although we're getting mixed information, the overall message from forecasters is that, "it will probably snow at some point".
Now's a good time therefore to make sure you are ready. Have you got grit and a shovel? Have you enough food in to save a trip to the supermarket? Are there any long journeys you can rearrange? Got some good DVDs or games to keep you amused if you get snowed in?
And don't forget to check on elderly neighbours.
If the heavens do open and cover us with the white stuff, Fleet People will be keeping you up-to-date with local schools closures as well as cancellations to bus and train services.
And please feel free to upload any snow photos you take. We certainly will!
