Your vote could help protect a Fleet park for future generations as a tribute to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
-
Calthorpe Park was the venue for the Fleet Carnival funfair this year
-
And the spectacular fireworks
Calthorpe Park has been put forward for the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge, and needs us to go online and vote for it with a simple click.
Run by Fields in Trust, the national campaign aims to safeguard a number of outdoor recreational spaces across the country as a permanent living legacy to HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
From sports pitches to woodlands, children's play areas to gardens and bicycle trails to parks, the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge says it will protect a diverse range of outdoor spaces ensuring that there is something for everyone.
Calthorpe Park has been nominated because of its popularity and facilities.
We all use it for sport, dog walking and annual events such as the carnival and fireworks display this year.
It is home to Fleet Sea Scouts, Fleet Town Football Club, Fleet Town Colts and Fleet Cricket Club.
Facilities include a football ground, pavilion, cricket club house, cricket pitch, six tennis courts, six football pitches, a wooden play feature and open ground. That's why we love it. It serves us well.
So come on – get mouse clicking – and vote here
At the time of writing this there were only 95 votes. We can do better than that! Dare ya…
