Public consultation for proposed new parking restrictions in Fleet Road, Fleet, has been extended by a month and will now finish on Friday September 30.
Council bosses say they have doone this because the proposals are attracting 'great local interest'.
Don't they mean 'controversial?'
You can currently park in Fleet Road's loading bays after 3pm from Monday to Friday, with no restrictions at the weekend.
But the council is suggesting they remain as loading bays between 9am and 6pm Monday to Saturdays.
Local traders say these changes will deter even more shoppers from visiting the town.

Consultation a waste of time. Council never listens. Waste of public money. What's the point then?

Apathy is the silent killer of change and progress. The more people who raise an issue the more chance they will listen. Legally they have no choice. If every resident in Fleet said no to the parking changes, they would have to act on that. Job done.
