Ours stopped a couple of years ago when the last paperboy (my son) retired. To be honest they paid such a pittance for a job which is time consuming and unpleasant in the winter months I'm suprised they get any self respecting teenager to do it. Many hours were spent filling papers with all the junk mail before taking to the streets to deliver.
My son has never been replaced. I think they should review what is paid to youngsters. They don't expect to become rich delivering papers but the money paid when he was delivering was certainly not a fair rate for the work involved.
Rant finished.....
The point made above is very much the case in Yateley where our Star Courier delivery has been intermittent at best for some time now. Having complained I occasionally get a phone call from the Star Courier distribution asking if that weeks edition has been delivered. Ironically those are the occasions when delivery has taken place.

We have the same problem - very intermittent delivery although we never have the 'royal' call from their distribution department. You are very lucky! And they wonder why local papers are struggling to survive? I would suggest the first rule is to make sure its delivered to readers. That's always a good place to start....

Havent has it delivered for over a year. It suddenly arrives on the door mat but then nothing for months or even years after.

Star Courier? Ours has stopped again. Comes and goes. No point phoning them because they do nothing. Shame really because it has a larger jobs section I think than the Mail and I think is a better read.
