4TATR A4 posterGiving the opportunity to learn under the guidance of some of the UK’s leading musicians, tutors and industry professionals, this collection of workshops will help aspiring musicians, and those thinking of pursuing a career in the music industry achieve a grounding and an action plan to make those tentative first steps towards a rewarding career.
These vastly experienced workshop leaders include members of Freeze the Atlantic, Welcome the Howling Tones and Parachute For Gordo, along with industry insider knowledge from Quatre Femmes Records, The Rooms Rehearsal Studios, Along the Highway Touring and Aldershot’s legendary West End Centre… And as if this wasn’t enough, there will be stories, hints and tips from the likes of Brit award-winning producer Chris Potter, experienced musicians, promoters, managers, DJs and journalists, with giveaways, freebies and competition prizes!
The awe-inspiring performance workshops aim to build confidence, timing, energy and accuracy, whilst the industry workshops will equip young musicians with a vast spectrum of insider know-how, from recording and releasing tracks to getting gigs, attracting press interest and finding a recording contract. 4 Those About To Rock bridges the gap between singing in the shower and moving forward in the music industry as a career.
Whether you’re already playing solo, in a band or looking for like-minded musicians to start one, the morning performance workshops will help you with performance style and delivery, giving you the confidence to play on stage or with others. The workshops take place from 10am until 12 noon for Guitar, Vocals or Drums. You’ll need to have a solid understanding of the basic technique of your instrument and will need to sign up by 5pm Friday 14th February 2014 as places on these popular workshops are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis. Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org or use the contact us page with your name and instrument (guitar, vocals or drums) to let us know you’re interested.
The afternoon industry workshops are open to young musicians and those looking to pursue a career in music off-stage, taking in recording, backing vocal technique and industry advice. All are drop-in sessions running each hour from 12.30,1.30 and 2.30pm. Spaces are again limited so arrive early to avoid disappointment. All workshops are open to those aged 13-19 years old and living in Hart.
