Hampshire Constabulary are appealing for witnesses following an unprovoked attack on a 26 year old man at Jaxx nightclub last weekend.

At 1am on Sunday 18th July the victim was assaulted by a group of around six men, who then immediately left the club. The man sustained serious injuries, including a fractured eye socket, and was taken to Frimley Park Hospital for treatment.

"This was a completely unprovoked attack and the victim has suffered nasty injuries," stated Detective Constable Matt Dennis of Aldershot CID.

"We want to hear from anyone who can help us to identify the men responsible."

The incident is the latest in a string of late night violence that has become an all too familiar aspect of Fleet's pub and club scene at the weekend.

Anyone with information relating to the assault is asked to contact Det Con Dennis on 101, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
