Fleet pub The Oatsheaf will enjoy a major makeover this summer, as it is converted into an upmarket restaurant.

The boozer, located on Crookham Road, will be closing its doors on Sunday 1st August and relaunching over a month later on Friday 10th September.

While it will retain its current name, The Oatsheaf will no longer be part of the Ember Inns franchise, and will instead be revamped as a member of the Premier Country Dining brand. Both franchises are owned by pub operators Mitchell and Butler.

The new look establishment will place more emphasis on high quality food, offering a diverse menu, full table service and a bar.

“Over the past year we’ve done more food, and we believe the change will definitely benefit us more,” said James, a member of the Oatsheaf staff.

“The Oatsheaf will be completely refurbished and will serve a wide range of freshly-made food every day,” he concluded.
