Weather forecasts today are again warning of possible snowfall in Fleet and across the UK during the next few days.

Are you ready if the white stuff covers Fleet?
So are you ready for the white stuff?
Be prepared is the best motto – try and get your spades and salt BEFORE the snow falls or you'll be forced to faff about on icy roads and paths to get to the shops and/or nearest salt bin.
When it does snow, try to keep access to your home and the adjacent pavements clear of snow and ice to make it easier for deliveries by your postman, milkman etc - and for the safety of your own family and neighbours.
Contrary to popular myth, you are very unlikely to be successfully sued by someone falling on an area which you've cleared.
Clearance and salting of roads is carried out by Hampshire County Council – not Hart - on a priority basis i.e. trunk roads and through-routes first.
Residential areas are generally treated as low priority unless they provide access to sheltered accommodation or medical centres.
The county council has a special snow webpage with all sorts of snow related advice including tips of salting, clearing snow, and driving in icy conditions.
Obviously, try and stay warm and reduce your risk of injury by staying indoors as much as possible and avoid travel unless it is absolutely necessary. Work from home if you can.
It's better to dress in several thin layers than rely on a single garment to keep warm. The layers of clothing trap air between them which helps retain heat.
Hart District Council also has a special snow webpage full of advice
