El Castello in Fleet top nosh and top food

Great menu with both traditional Italian and something a little more creative. Good value for money. Lovely atmosphere. Service cannot fault - friendly and efficient. We went in with a baby and they couldn't do enough to help us. Thank you El Castello!!!

    Italian?

Ok for a pizza witht the children. Not authentic italian. Wine expensive. Waiters Eastern European and not italian as indicated above, not that this matters but don't be fooled like some sort of tourist.

Excuse me El Castello but why not specialise in one authentic Italian dish and perhaps play some italian music? Brits love big hearty stews that could be home made on the premises and served at the table in a big pot, min 2 people lots of bread and a nice inexpensive rustic italian red?

Like most so called italian restaurants that are not in touch with real italian food................boring. Same applies to Al Fresco, Ask try but if you are going to have specials then they need to be 'special'.

    Zingy, tasty Mediterranean food

El Castello in Fleet Road specialises in zingy, tasty Mediterranean food cooked with crisp, fresh ingredients. This restaurant has a strong local reputation for the quality of its food and service, as well as its decent prices. The decor is traditional and elegant, and all in all this is a lovely place to eat out.

    Fantastic Food

El Castello is the perfect Italian restaurant, in a quiet almost unnoticed location of directly opposite Emporium; it extends far back with a really traditional Latin feel to it. The staff are mainly Italian speaking and very hospitable, the food is amazing, really top notch Italian cuisine, especially the Paella, although more Spanish, is a dish that especially gorgeous. The wine selection including the house wine is lovely; it is perfect for a meal out whether it be any occasion. So much better than chain Italian restaurants that are all the same.
