Thanks for saving the evening

Went to the Fox and Houds for a quiet meal...we both ordered steak, its my favourite meal out...unfortunately both of us had trouble chewing our way through more than a couple of mouthfuls...and it looked lovely and boh were cooked to perfection! I spoke to the landlady who could not have been more apologetic and whipped our plates away..when asked what we'd like instead we both decided that it had put us off a bit so we plumped for good old bacon cutties..and Im so glad we did...lovely thick slices of gorgeous fresh bread, lots of bacon, just crispy enough and tomato ketchup as ordered...I also had some chips to go with it which were crispy hot and delicious... The landlay removed all main meals from the bill so we paid only for the wine that was drunk..all in all she changed what could have been a disastrous evening into a good one..well done her, and the chef too who came up trumps.. Having eaten there a fair few time, its near to my parents, this is the first time Ive had to complain..and it was sorted out beautifully.. Thanks again to the landlady and aher staff....
